2021+ Ford F150 - Spare Tire - 2023 Xl i don't have a lock for the spare. Opened it the other day and there is no tube from the bumper to the spare tire. On my GM trucks there was a tube from bumper to tire that would guide the tool. Never owned a F150 before so maybe this is normal.

Big surprise huh! Well what I found worked very well was to use a 14mm 12 point socket and a lot of extensions. With a little push, the socket fits snuggly around the outside of the lock mechanism and you can lower the spare tire. In my case, the socket stuck so well I could not remove it by pulling out the extensions.The Raptor wheels and tires I put on my truck measure 34.8" 315/70/17. Just to point out the obvious. you need all 4 tires the same size if you are going to be in 4 wheel drive. Also depends if you have an aftermarket exhaust.
