SW WI.Before I was born it had a John Deere B, A, then a 70 ran on it. Then it sat for many years, when we started baling it had a 1750 oliver on it most of the time so 80-85 hp. Sometimes it would have a 2-135 white that was pushing 195pto hp. Honestly that thing would run so smooth and break less shear pins with the way oversized white than the oliver.The older balers (NH 68 - 271, JD 14T/24T) use 15-19 hp to make the baler run. (They actually store about 50 hp in the flywheel for the bust of power the plunger uses, but can build it up from steady 15hp input.) Then you need 7-10hp or so to pull the tractor & baler.
