Last year I purchased a Selmer Mark VI low Bb baritone from 1957, and I am currently enjoying practising and playing on the horn. I own two Mark VI altos, one from 1961, the other from 1971. My altos are quite different in character, the oldest is characterised by having a more dark complex tone, and this has been my jazz alto for several decades.
