Technically, you are not decreasing caliber, as both 9mm and .380 use the same diameter bullet. You are decreasing overall cartridge length, which equates to less velocity at the muzzle and less energy, as well as less recoil. A lot of people prefer the .380 due to ease of use racking the slide over a 9mm, as the springs are lighter.

Went to the link below and they are selling this SAS slide without the barrel and no compensation cuts. Put your barrel and RSA in and out it on the frame you already have. Very interesting idea and another marketing idea.

One attribute of the P365 is the size of the trigger guard, which accomodates a gloved hand better. For winter use that can be important compared to the traditionally dinky guard on a 1911 style gun.

He currently owns two, one with a born date in mid March and one with a born date in mid May. He has thoroughly examined both guns and has observed some interesting changes in the May gun. To compare, the double-column magazine of SIG's larger P320 is 0.86" wide, which allows two 9 mm Luger cartridges to very nearly sit side-by-side. The P365's magazine is narrower at 0.81" wide ...

They will do whatever is necessary to return it to specifications. Call Sig customer service back and let them know that old extractor is unavailable. They should know this. Ask how you initiate a return request for warranty repair.
The P365 X-macro isn't that much smaller than the stock m18 but is definitely thinner which would help with printing. If you wanted smaller the P365X is a better option without going to a much shorter grip in the P365. And, a PMM comp can be placed on the front giving the same length as the Xmacro. ... On a practical level (capacity) I prefer the P365; on every other level (aesthetics, all-metal, grips, overall quality feel) I prefer the P938.
